Our club working with Social Workers to help needy families.
  Adopt-A-Social Worker Laura Lee presents their prestigious "Service Club of the Year"
award to Bob McQueen who is receiving it on behalf of our club. Bob is the liason
between the Adopt A Social Workers and the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo.
This year (2002) our club has been selected to receive this award selected out of 130
active organizations by 25 Social Workers in Southern Orange County because of our
outstanding donations of food, household goods and supplies to families in poverty. Much
of this coming from our Rotary Goods Bank.
 
Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners

Each dinner included a turkey, dressing, gravy, beans, rolls, cranberries,and brownies. Special thanks to the Rotarians who brought inmany of the items for the dinners. Each social worker identified 10 families who were most in need of assistance. The families picked up their dinners from the social workers two days before Thanksgiving or Christmas.These scenes were during the 2003 Holidays with PP Bob McQueen putting it all together.
