The Entertainment  Book is a great investment. The savings not only pay for the book but continue

FINES AND PLEDGE DONATIONS

THE CLUB DIRECTORY
The directory is printed solely for the
use of Rotarians. Its use as a commercial
mailing list and its distribution to Non-Rotarians is prohibited.

The projected was prompted by 1989-90 President, Jimmie Ball.
It was created  in 1989 by Rotarian George L Cooper and photographer at the time was Rotarian Rev Phil Peace. Later PPBill Kersten became the photographer .
Added to the Directory is Club Guide which was created by Rotarian John Monninger

Initially we sent the directory to a printer for publishing and then around 1996, PPGeorge Cooper printed at his office.
It is 51/2 x 8 1/2 in a three ring binder with photos of each member.
The Directory is also available on our internet web site but can only be accessed with a User Name and a Password. Dated 12/3/03

CLUB WEB SITE www.missionviejorotary.org
It was at a December meeting in 1995 when our program featured a speaker with the topic: "Surfing the Net". At that time hardly anyone was familiar with the internet nor Email. Our Immediate Past President at the time was George Cooper (Classification: Adhesive Distributor) and he immediately felt this would be a great new media for promoting his adhesive business. So he taught himself the basics on creating and publishing websites and created several websites for his business.

Several months later, George approached the RotaryDistrict (5320) District Governor Mike Abdalla and a decision was made to create a web site for the district www.rotary5320.org

In December of 1996, George approached the Board of Directors of Mission Viejo Rotary and our club site was born with George Cooper as Webmaster  and George has continued to serve in that position. Dated Dec 03, 2003

ROTARY GOODS BANK
The Year was 2001  when Past President Dr Richard Frieder established our Rotary Goods Bank
which resulted in quantities of  all kinds of goods being picked up from Donors and delivered to
numerous recipients such as Adopt-A-Social Worker, Orphanage in Mexico and other social agencies. This excellent Club Service Program involves almost all members of our club in one way or another. For example, day old bread and other bakery goods are picked up at stores  and delivered to local food banks and churches etc by our members.
Both PP Bob McQueen , PPBill Kersten and Rotarian Steve Mugg handled much of the heavier stuff (furniture for example)  with their trucks.
CHARIOTS OF ROTARY
Our Chariots of Rotary are on the move collecting, sorting, repairing, assembling and delivering donated items to and from our Storage facility to those in need as part of our Rotary Goods Bank Program.
Chariots and Rotary Goods Bank Director- Dr. Richard Frieder
Go to May 1, 2002 Bulletin for more information including participants. Dated Dec 03, 2003

J
ack Wallace, Chairman of our Membership Development Committee  started our Rotary wheel in motion for a very
special meeting in which the Membership Committee held a Mission Viejo Rotary Membership Fair on Saturday September 18, 1999 at 6PM ….This meeting also servd as our club's 25th Anniversary celebration. It was held at Past President Rich Frieder and Susan Frieders new home in Coto de Caza. The purpose of the Fair is to acquaint prospective member guests with Rotary and especially Mission Viejo Rotary. It also showed our guests how we reach out to the International Community for better understanding, goodwill and peace
through our world-wide fellowship of business and professional people-all united in the ideal of service.
We  presented a brief history of Rotary. We  talked about the Four Way test..The Four Avenues of Service...Our meeting
programs...our publication...the Rotary Foundation...our great Polio Plus success story...our
involvement in community affairs...our fellowship...and what is expected of each member in order to fulfill our motto
"Service Above Self" .
